On Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Eastern, Treasury Secretary and Managing Trustee Tim Geithner will be joined by members of the Social Security and Medicare Board of Trustees - Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, Labor Secretary Hilda Solis and Social Security Commissioner Michael Astrue - for a press briefing to discuss the release of the annual Trustees Reports.
Both these numbers are likely to be very bad. It is likely to show that the Social Security Trust Fund has gone cash flow negative, or about to do so.
