VIDEO: Ben Bernanke's 60 Minutes Interview

  1. Wenzel,

Can't wait to get your take. This video seems like the act of a desperate, unhinged man. Real change from the measured, secretive, calm and collected Ben Bernanke/Fed chairmen of yore.

They undoubtedly had tons of re-takes and edits and still he came across this nervous and anxious.

    Quick juxtaposition:
Q: How confident are you in your analysis?
    Bernanke: 100%

Q: Is there anything you wish you could've done different over the last 2 years?
Bernanke: I wish I had been omniscient and seen the crisis coming. I didn't.

  2. That interview does not inspire confidence. He seemed uncertain and at some points nervous. It seemed to me there were a lot of edits in the interview as well.

  3. Listening to this interview brought back memories from 2003. Bernanke sounds like "Baghdad Bob" the Information Minister for Saddam.

I didn't know that Ron Paul had the nickname of 'omniscient'.
