Geithner Does Paris

On Friday morning, Treasury Secretary Geithner  arrived in Paris, France for the G-20 Meeting of Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors.

In the afternoon, he held a bilateral meeting with French Finance Minister Christine Lagarde.

At 3:45 pm CET, the Secretary participated in a discussion on the state of the global recovery, the G-20’s upcoming agenda and international financial reform with Jacques de Larosière at “The Eurofi G-20 High Level Seminar 2011.”

Later, Secretary Geithner held a bilateral meeting with Australian Deputy Prime Minister and Treasurer Wayne Swan.

In the evening, the Secretary attended a G-20 reception and working dinner at Elysee Palace.



 On Saturday morning, Secretary Geithner will attend the G-20 Meeting of Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors.
In the afternoon, the Secretary will conduct a bilateral meeting with Japanese Finance Minister Yoshihiko Noda.

Also on Saturday, the Secretary will attend a working lunch and G-20 afternoon sessions. At the G-20’s conclusion, Secretary Geithner will hold a press conference in the courtyard of the French Ministry of Finance.

In the evening, Secretary Geithner will depart Paris for Washington, DC.
