Medal of Freedom Ceremony Today

A White House ceremony is scheduled today for new presidential Medal of Freedom recipients. Among those President Obama will hand a Medal to will be George H.W. Bush, Warren Buffett and Bill Russell.

We all know about the war criminal Bush, Buffett has been acting like an oligarch since he started hanging around with Kay Bailey Hutchinson and Russell is as strange as they get.

Just a couple of weeks ago I spotted Russell in the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in NYC. He was sitting in a chair in the lobby, so his height didn't really stand out. What caught my eye was the fact that he was wearing a Boston Celtics cap. I was sitting across from him, I saw a guy pass by Russell and shout out, "Go Celtics". Russell clearly had to have heard him, I was 10 feet farther away and I heard the guy clearly. Russell just ignored the guy as if he wasn't there.

Here's the full list of mostly criminals and con men. I feel sorry for Stan Musial being lumped in with this group.

Stan “The Man” Musial: A Hall of Fame first baseman for the St. Louis Cardinals. Musial played 22 seasons for the Cardinals from 1941 to 1963. A 24-time All-Star selection, Musial accumulated 3,630 hits and 475 home runs during his career, was named the National League’s Most Valuable Player three times, and was a member of three World Series championship teams. .

President George H.W. Bush: The 41st President of the United States.

Chancellor Angela Merkel: The Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany.

John Lewis: An American hero and a giant of the Civil Rights Movement.
