MIT's Billion Prices Project Shows Escalating U.S. Price Inflation

The Billion Prices Project is an MIT project that collects prices from hundreds of online retailers around the world on a daily basis to conduct economic research. They currently monitor daily price fluctuations of ~5 million items sold by ~300 online retailers in more than 70 countries.

I've mentioned this project before, but special thanks to Karl Platt in Rio de Janeiro for bringing to my attention the latest data, which shows the climbing prices.

You can view the charts, here.
