More Evidence Chris Matthews Has Lost His Mind

MSNBC’s Chris Matthews is anchoring a President’s Day special on MSNBC three weeks from today titled “President of the World: The Bill Clinton Phenomenon.”

The special “will take viewers behind the scenes of Clinton’s life,” says the press release:

There’s not a single political figure today with the global reach and influence of Bill Clinton—a former U.S. President turned humanitarian and diplomat extraordinaire. No one else in today’s political arena has the ability to command the attention of world leaders and organizations everywhere quite like he does.
The release makes no mention of the plotting Clinton, who becasue of his access is cashing in to the tune of tens of millions. Here is what Clinton insiders leaked to the press after Clinton's bitter break with billionaire Ron Burkle:
Clinton is firing back, with sources close to the former president telling reporter Kim Masters, among other things, that Burkle is allegedly "stiffing Clinton out of $20 million or $25 million."

"From Clinton's standpoint," writes Masters, "Burkle has everything backward. It was Burkle, the Clinton confidants say, who vastly benefited from Clinton's contacts. Burkle's life was transformed through the glamour of his association with Clinton, they say, and from a business standpoint, Clinton delivered on his promises to Burkle. One says an institutional investor who met with the former president marveled, "I can't believe [Burkle] got Clinton to pitch for him.""

This statement presupposes that Matthews was sane to begin with, something I would dispute,

Chris Matthews, believe it or now, was quite a sane and sensible commentator a while back.
When Barack Obama first emerged as a candidate in the media, I recall hearing him ask where'd the guy come from so suddenly.

    Then the great unraveling began.....
    Advanced Obamania set in.

  3. Chris Matthews has the character of a bratty little boy whos father refuses raise his allowance. He views government as Mommy and Daddy with deep taxpayer pockets for handouts to all his bratty little "liberal" friends. A lot of us grow up in our 20s but this little twit never did.

  4. Not to nit-pick, but he doesn't have a "bratty" background by any means. Very down to earth upbringing and Peace Corps background.

    The change came relatively recently.
May the affable old Chris return.
