A group of entrepreneurs has launched Citizenside, which collects and syndicates amateur videos to professional news organizations.
Citizenside gives up to 65% of the income from any sales to the person who filmed the event. According to the company, most scoops are sold to media outlets for between €200 and €2,000.
A a grainy video of British fashion designer John Galliano conducting an anti-Semitic rant sold for six figures, according to the company.
