Higher fuel costs and rising demand for flights are expected to push the average fare for domestic travel up 15% to nearly $390 by the time the season peaks, reports LaTi.
The increases already starting. A round-trip ticket from Los Angeles to Baltimore now costs at least $380, up from about $200 in summer 2009, according to Tom Parson's of BestFares.com, says LaTi.
