Geithner in the Big Apple

On Tuesday afternoon, Treasury Secretary Geithner will travel to New York City to deliver remarks laying out the economic case for the Obama Administration’s approach to deficit reduction at an event hosted by Harvard's Joan Shorenstein Center on Press, Politics and Public Policy. In the evening, Secretary Geithner will participate in a discussion of lessons learned from the financial crisis and the challenges ahead. The panel will be moderated by Andrew Ross-Sorkin and Liaquat Ahamed at the Time Warner Center.

On Tuesday morning, Deputy Treasury Secretary Neal Wolin will be in Sydney, Australia for a meeting to discuss international financial regulatory reform with representatives from some of Australia's largest financial institutions. Later, the Deputy Secretary will depart Sydney for Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
