Strauss-Kahn Got Great Deal Through Travelocity

The "$3,000 per night suite" that IMF Chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn was staying at in the Sofitel Hotel, with a separate dining area, living room and bedroom, actually cost him only $525. According to NyTi, DSK's office provided a Travelocity receipt showing what he paid.

Also of note, in addition to a passport, DSK carries a laissez-passer, a United Nations credential issued to international personnel that allows for easier travel. Among other things, it probably allowed him to pass through airport security without a full-body scan, or pat down. I suspect things are different at Riker's.

  1. And now we get a raw deal. In addition to the Greek debt the moron was saddling us with while here during his alleged rape spree - we get to pay for his new room, board, investigation, and trial.

Mars should be made habitable for the skanks of the world.

  2. This is a strange case for me.

I don't know anything about Strauss-Kahn. My instinct is to automatically hate him anyway (he is an IMF hack after all) but until I learn more about the case, I'm trying not to rush to judgement.

Still, is it wrong for me to enjoy the troubles he's having right now, even though I really don't know for sure what he did? Hmmm. . . Maybe it is, but I'm not trying to be a buddhist monk here.
