Goldman Sachs Said to Get Subpoena From New York District Attorney

Goldman Sachs has  received a subpoena from the Manhattan District Attorney’s office seeking information on the firm’s activities leading into the credit crisis, according to two people familiar with the matter, reports Bloomberg.

The request relates to the U.S. Senate’s Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations report on Wall Street’s role in the housing market collapse, which accused Goldman  of misleading buyers of mortgage-linked investments, the people said. That report was referred to the U.S. Department of Justice and the Securities and Exchange Commission, which are also investigating.

What's up with the Manhattan DA getting in on the act? Is Cyrus Vance Jr. seeking headlines?

Or is this another step  in the on going squeeze of Goldman?

It's called the Fed. Go investigate it. Also investigate the US government's various legislative acts promoting "Home ownership" and guaranteeing firm's against suffering losses for bad decisionmaking.

Morons. There are various medieval forms of torture that would befit these little criminals in suits and robes.
