Another Reason to Own Gold (that I never thought of before)

A Greek retiree withdrew his savings from bank, stashed the paper money in his brick wall. Rats devoured it.

    Yeah. Not too long ago I accidentally washed a pair of my jeans along with a few 500-euro bills. At that point I wished I had an 1-ounce gold coin in the back pocket. I would still have it.

    Note that the act of eating currency is deflationary. So the rats were just influencing monetary policy.

    My grandfather taught me to buy gold coins and invest in gold. I now understand why he was pushing me to do that. Its a profitable investment.
