Chart: August Employment

Here's a great chart put out by the Cleveland Fed, which shows that the recent decline in jobs is generally  limited, as I discussed below, to state and local governments.

  1. That's a positive to me. Now if only spending would fall commensurate with the staff reduction. Unfortunately, federal spending is still out of control and growing despite the staff reductions.

  2. That gubermint column needs to be -1500 ...The reason the economy is stagnate is because the parasites are overwhelming the hosts.
