Peaceful Female Protesters Penned In, Then Maced

I really don't think these protesters in NYC have a clue about economics and I'm sure my head would be spinning if I heard their "solutions" for the current economic crisis, but that doesn't mean they should be penned in like cattle and, most alarming, maced after being penned in.

  1. did you see how the officer with the mace slyly turned his back and walked away from it immediately?

  2. Sheeps are truly dumb stupid animals, but not as much as sheeples. Would some lesbians or men have behaved differently? Are they thinking that someone is going to rescue them?

  3. eh i work in the city and happened to catch this. They have been doing it all week. Women were walking around topless and it seemed to be the usually “Down with Capitalism we need socialism to fix or problems” crowd. Clearly people who don’t understand what is happening. I didn’t see one anti federal reserve sign. With all that being said the mace to the face was clearly unnecessary.

  4. Protests like this are teachable moments for the police to practice different techniques. They safely cordoned (corralled) the sheeple. What will future protesters learn from this?

  5. I was watching press TV a few mins ago and they repeated a clip a few times which had someone holding up a copy of "End the Fed".

  6. Why do things always turn violent when the cops show up?

  9. I cannot state in a few words how utterly and completely appalled I am at seeing this. I don't care what the politics of each woman is here. This is a brutal statement against women from the State. We see this everyday now. It's a world wide phenomenon.

If this is the result of the New State Politics, then I want no part in it.

  10. So what are any of you going to do about this? Move out of state or country? Continue to acquiesce by doing nothing? Anyone praying?

  11. Yes, many of the protesters have zero clue about economics and many are extremely naive but that can accurately be said about at least 90% of the population. There is no single ideology represented, just a bunch of people who find common cause against the financial arm of the state. Not much different than some of the early (post-Bush) Tea Party gatherings except this crowd is definitely more anti-establishment (which explains why it's getting less coverage than the Tea Party).

To comment that you have not seen any anti-fed protesters (or anti-Bernanke protesters) is to admit you haven't been following the protests at all. There are enough images available on the internet that you would've noticed one.

Here is a slow-motion analysis of the pepper-spray incident.

On the real though, cops do worse shit than this to innocent people every day in the US. If it surprises you, you're one of the naive.

  12. "This is a brutal statement against women from the State."

Fixed: "This is a brutal statement against people from the State."

The police are just if as violent, if not more so, to men as well. Cops don't care which sex it is as long as their victims are fellow human beings. Wearing a government issued costume does something to the human mind.

  13. I can't believe the comments I'm reading. Most of you making these comments are clueless! The point isn't what they are protesting or what the politics of the protestors are......it's the fact that we are supposed to have the freedom to assemble and protest whatever the hell we want! With out fear of being maced or beaten. WHAT THE HELL IS THE MATTER WITH YOU PEOPLE????

The real question is where have you been? Protests have become ineffective while police control tactics have not. And what are you doing about it or have you been beside commenting here? If anything, carry a gas mask whenever one protests and have more video recordings of them to post so the police can be identified for the public to deal with.
