Former Obama Interior Dept. chief of staff Tom Strickland has joined WilmerHale, BP's law firm.
Before joining the Interior Department, he was at one time chief legal officer for UnitedHealth Group.
With a straight face, WilmerHale Co-Managing Partner William Perlstein said,“Tom has a rare combination of public and private sector experience and substantive expertise that enables him to assist clients in successfully navigating the most challenging matters involving government oversight, regulation and enforcement.”
Uh, no kidding, build the regulations, as part of government, so that the little guy doesn't have a chance and keep the personal money flow coming by jumping to the private sector to help those who can pay to "successfully navigating the most challenging matters involving government oversight, regulation and enforcement."
