After getting bashed for ten straight minutes, Schieffer ended the interview. Lew Rockwell reports that "Schieffer promised Ron 2o minutes."
Also, for you deep conspiracy theorists, consider the possibility that a little technological disruption might have been planned for Dr. Paul. Lew writes:
...there was a loud buzzing from Ron's earpiece during the entire interview. Deliberate? Who knows, but the flaw had been pointed out again and again 15 minutes before airtime.
The DC media and the Federal government are so incestuous it's ridiculous. You can predictably scratch the surface of almost any big journalist and find that they're hooked in to the juice somehow.
ReplyDeleteFor example, after seeing Bob Schieffer's absurdly hostile "interview" of Ron Paul on Face the Nation today, I decided to do a little research on him.
His brother, Tom Schieffer, is a longtime Bush family business partner who was US ambassador to Japan and Australia in the 2000s, while Bob himself is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations (!):

These aren't watchdogs, and they aren't journalists. They're scribes, and they're just as much a part of the corrupt system as any congresscritter, Bob Schieffer included.
Bob got owned! Great job, Dr Paul!
ReplyDeleteI've never seen such a hostile and arrogant interview handled with such grace and clarity.
ReplyDeleteBobS is an asshole.
I have to really laugh hard at Schieffer claiming no one in the government wants to bomb Iran. Hilarious! Yeah, that is why they are trying to scare the hell out of the public on a daily basis about Iran's supposed nuke program.
ReplyDeleteIn this instance, former Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz agrees with Ron Paul:
ReplyDelete“There are a lot of things that are different now, and one that has gone by almost unnoticed--but it's huge--is that by complete mutual agreement between the U.S. and the Saudi government we can now remove almost all of our forces from Saudi Arabia.
“Their presence there over the last 12 years has been a source of enormous difficulty for a friendly government. It's been a huge recruiting device for al Qaeda. In fact if you look at bin Laden, one of his principle grievances was the presence of so-called crusader forces on the holy land, Mecca and Medina.”

I am not sure I have ever seen a more obvious case of the media advocating for the government's position. Remarkable.
ReplyDeleteAlso, great to see Ron Paul on the offensive with hostile interviewers. Best to put them on the defensive.
I saw Schieffer's teaser this morning before the interview where he said he'd be talking to a new front-runner in Iowa, "Ron Paul, of all people." What disgusting and transparent bias. My take on the interview is that Schieffer thought he was going to tear Dr. Paul (whom he kept calling "Mr. Paul") apart handily, and when he found that he couldn't easily trip him up, Schieffer "shifted gears" and ended the "interview." I would have loved to see the folks in the control booth scrambling to switch to the next segment ahead of schedule! The MSM is getting desperate!
ReplyDeleteAsk the Japanese survivors of Hiroshima and Nagasaki who is the nuclear menace of the world.
ReplyDeleteThe US Government is the only tyranny to have used nuclear weapons. So, who are we to tell Iran, or anyone, they can't have it?
Thanks for that info, Anon. at 7:34.
ReplyDeleteGoes to show propaganda is alive and well.
And many Americans think that is just something that used to happen to other people. And they wondered why people fell for it. I have news for you America, there is a reason Ron Paul only got 89 seconds... the media propaganda machine is full steam ahead.
Schieffer's giddy exzcitement to "get back to Washington" at the end was the most telling part of the interview. Ron should use that.
ReplyDeleteBob Schieffer - Ron Paul 0-3.Game over.
ReplyDeleteI'm getting some great bang for the bucks I'm giving to Ron Paul 2012:) A foundation of truth is rock solid.
ReplyDeleteRon Paul did great and did not back down under the shabby treatment of Bob Schieffer. Schieffer is just a parrot for the establishment. He has not one original thought, viewpoint, or observation.
ReplyDeleteJohn McCain sang, "bomb, bomb Iran!" McCain is a sitting U.S. senator. Is Schieffer going to tell us that a senator isn't part of the government?
ReplyDeleteThat makes sense, I was wondering why Paul seemed like he was yelling.
ReplyDeleteDespicable showing from our CFR infiltrated "free" press.
ReplyDeleteA REPORTERS JOB IS TO GARNER THE FACTS WITHOUT PREJUDICE .....IS THAT WHAT YOU SEE HAPPENING HERE?! IN FACT, DO YOU SEE THIS HAPPENING ANYWHERE THE CORPORATE MEDIA IS IN IT'S DEALINGS WITH MR. PAUL?!
ReplyDeleteIT'S UNPROFESSIONAL, IT'S INTENTIONAL, IT'S INTENTIONAL!
SCHIEFFER IS A SCUMBAG AS ARE ALL OF HIS ILK.
RON PAUL WILL BECOME OUR NEXT PRESIDENT REGARDLESS OF WHAT "THEY" SAY OR DO.
Bob Schieffer is such amestablishment hack it is unbelievable.
ReplyDeleteOl' smily eyes Schieffer is aptly characterized by "scribe". He's a shill for a bankrupt, corrupt system that has added pharisaic "laws" on our freedoms.
ReplyDeleteThis is what happens when you give microphones to assholes and it is hilarious to watch biased "journalists" like Bob S squirm when the credibility they have taken for granted for years get yanked out from under them.
ReplyDeleteAs Abe Lincoln once said: "You can fool all the people some of the time, and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time." The truth will prevail; liars and fools will be put out of business.
ReplyDeleteThe lamestream media sucks, pure and simple
ReplyDeleteThere's an old saying that truth cuts through lies like a laser beam. Bob Schieffer just got burned.
ReplyDeleteTime to get mad, Time to demand change, change the status quo, support Ron Paul! Let's get a government leader who knows what best for the people!
ReplyDeleteI've never seen anything so disgusting...
ReplyDeleteGo Ron!!!
On the flip side I think Ron needs to learn to play their (the media and other morons out there) game a bit better.
This unadultered "Saint" has been around a long time and for him to be suddenly recognized just goes to show how "off base" and "slow" the american people are at recognizing reality and honesty.Democracy is finished when "sanity "(or insanity) takes so long to be recognized. Why should the streets and parks be jammed with protesters before someone like Dr. Paul is noticed !!!
ReplyDeleteDuckdodger
Ron Paul has it! This country is bankrupt and needs to change it's foreign policy and make deep spending cuts.
ReplyDeleteSchieffer is just another Pinocchio after Obama. Bob Schieffer (B.S.) are the lips to the faceless banking cartel intent upon dominating and controlling the world as we know it. Schieffer is a zombie reporter that does what he is programmed to do. Schieffer's demeanor is typical of many who beleive what they read and hear from the gamestream media. When the SWAT team comes breaking down Schieffers door and he is jailed for resisting unlawful entry, then lets see who bails him out.
ReplyDeleteAs Bob S. climbed up at CBS, I recognized I got less and less information via CBS and Bob, and went elsewhere for news; so not really surprised that Mr. BS is just another shill, an imposter, not a journalist. Not just sad news, but bad news for all of us, and for America.
ReplyDeleteMy heartfelt Thanks to Dr. Paul, one of the few on either side of the aisle that I respect.
Ron Paul like a Boss! I'm telling you the guy doesnt waiver, he believes what he says and says what he believes, Bob Schiefert is an old fool who needs to retire into a convalescent home
ReplyDeleteYou never know. His straightforward talk might win him the nomination!
