At yesterday's WSJ CEO Council participants got to see what Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner really thinks about constitutions and the law.
While being questioned by Rupert Murdoch's top lieutenant, Robert Thomson, the topic of the Eurozone crisis came up and the need, in Geithner's view, that the European Central Bank should step in and buy Eurozone bonds whenever required. The problem with this is that it is against the ECB constitution that was approved by the EZ members when the ECB was formed.
So does Geithner see a problem with this constitutional limitation? Not really.
He said, in a somewhat irritated fashion, that "there are ways to get around these things". So much for constitutions. Then he added. "It's not rocket science [to get around these things]".
And there you have Geithner's view on laws, agreements and constitutions. There are ways to get around them.
Who are you, or anybody, to put limits on Tim Geithner? Don't you know who he is?
ReplyDeleteTim is the right hand man to God himself aka Baracko
DeleteAnd this surprises us how?
ReplyDeleteThat little weasel! He has no respect for the Constitution, us, the US...just himself and his agenda!
ReplyDeleteI'm Timmy Geithner, LOOK AT MEEEEEEEE!
ReplyDeleteHim and his ilk, including Newt Gingrich with is 'advising' of Freddie Mae and Fanny Mac...are nothing more then thieves of our future and the future of generations around the world.
ReplyDeleteThey have no liability while making more and more of each of us. End the Fed.
Yep, end the Fed and all the thieves involved in it!
ReplyDeleteComing to you from Canada, I have to say that with the slate of thieves (Rep. and Dem.) you at being asked to choose from, the only honest man in Congress, Ron Paul must be elected president. I am sure you all want to save America and, from my vantage point, Ron Paul has the only reasonable solutions to your problems and the political will to implement them.
ReplyDeleteSAVE AMERICA - VOTE RON PAUL.....
AND PRAY THAT HE IS NOT KILLED BY THE POWERS THAT BE BEFORE OR AFTER HE BECOMES PRESIDENT
Is anyone surprised, given he doesn't pay his taxes????
ReplyDeleteI have long said that if Paul somehow got elected and began to actually implement change that would rock the boat, he would be assassinated by TPTB.
ReplyDeleteAnother terrifying glimpse into the mind of the man who nominated him for SecTreas.
ReplyDeleteNow WAIT just a minute there!!!!
ReplyDeletePlease do NOT put Newt Gingrich in the same category with the Geithner snake.
The former advised federal agencies not to do what they wanted to do. They did it anyway. He was registered and paid, and his position was completely out in the open, then and now.
The latter, on the other hand, did not even have the respect for U.S. citizens to pay his own blinking taxes. How he got Senate confirmation as Treasury Secretary is beyond me.
Geithner is a snake. No wait. That's a insult to reptiles!
Ah, yes, Turbo Timmy with more words of wisdom. I wouldn't trust that guy to run a lemonade stand. Yet another bad character in this current administration; four more years of that crew will bring this country to the point of no return...
ReplyDeleteGeithner's sorry character was completely revealed in the book -"Too Bog To Fail". He was fully exposed as little know nothing and inefectual person sitting on the sideline trying to work out what was going on. Then, low and behold, the useless knoiw nothing Obama picks him as Sec Treas, which confirms just how sick this Administration is.
ReplyDeleteAwwweeee, Turbo Timmy...He is so incorrigible.
ReplyDeleteThat little parasite claims to own you...You do realize that, right?
Remember that this is the same Little Timmy Geithner that "decided" he wasn't required to include his income from his stint at the World Bank on his income tax form FOR FOUR YEARS! He also felt that the extra payment given to him to compensate for his income tax belonged to him! Another bit of gross incorrigibility from the person who oversees the Internal Revenue Service.
ReplyDeleteAmen to that, Canadian Anonymous! I just fear for Ron Paul and the rest of us who see the situation for what it truly that he will be out-glossed by the typical professional politicians that run rampant over the US Constitution. I don't understand how any American can continue to vote for style over substance after seeing what that gets us!
ReplyDeleteI am a Ron Paul supporter as well....he is the ONLY person who will get my vote...if the RINO's don't make him their nomination I will be writing his name in!
ReplyDeleteI too will write in Ron Paul's name. I don't think Fox News is as helpful as they once were anymore. I'm pretty sure it has to do with losing advertizers. They are beginning to look pretty silly with "The Five". They sound like a bunch of kiddos instead of adults.
