Trump to Moderate Republican Debate

Yikes.

Donald Trump is pairing up with Newsmax to moderate a presidential debate in Des Moines on Dec. 27.

“Our readers and the grass roots really love Trump,” said Christopher Ruddy, chief executive of Newsmax Media, according to NYT. “They may not agree with him on everything, but they don’t see him as owned by the Washington establishment, the media establishment.”

Let's see if Trump has the courage to go mano y mano against Ron Paul.

  2. At least Paul is invited to that debate.

  3. He's Pretty frank in business life, a big part of his success - cuts through the bs to the heart of the issue...I'm hopeful this will be a real debate but not counting on it...

  4. This sounds like a disaster. A moderator should barely be noticeable in a debate. Trump will blow it out in every way possible. Hopefully they change their minds.

  5. hahaha

Mr. media darling for flipping real estate during the housing bubble vs. Mr. media snub for forecasting the housing bubble because he understands real economics and made millions because of the inflation.

I smell a rat. Trump went out of his way to claim that Ron Paul couldn't win during CPAC, its no mistake that he is invited to moderate one of the last debates before the primaries. The establishment is pissing their pants because they know RP speaks truth and his message is spreading faster than STDs at Arizona State.

Trump will take his cheap shots. They will backfire. EPJ readers and lovers of liberty will cheer with delight. Lets hope the primary voters wont fall for Trumps persona, $10k suit, bad hair, and pompous demeanor.

Look both ways, the RP bus is rolling through this road block. RP 2012 or bust.

  6. As an architect who worked on several of Trumps projects in Atlantic City, his modus operandi was to hold payment to contractors until liens filed.

  7. I also heard that Newt and Trump are meeting up at some point before the debate. Since Newt is the latest anointed one, I'm wondering if Trump is going to come out swinging against Paul.

This might give Paul a really excellent chance to put the ignoramus in his place. On the flip side, Trump's ignorance and brashness is so raging, I don't know if he can be put in his place. On the other flip side, I'm sure Trump has paid off plenty of pols, but he still isn't one.

If he's anything, he's unpredictable. He might just start saying that he thinks gold is the optimum currency or any other number of insane things. I think we can also count on him to say some really stupid stuff along the lines of Al-Qaeda being in Venezuela or egging on the candidates to give their best 'bomb Iran' sound bite.
