Nancy Pelosi: Newt Gingrich is Not Going to be President

It sounds like she has the dirt. During an interview today with John King:
John King, CNN: "You make your case there passionately for President Obama. But also understand that this is a tough reelection climate for any president, Democrat or Republican in this economy. Because of your history with Speaker Gingrich, what goes through your mind when you think of the possibility, which is more real today than it was a week or a month ago, that he would be the Republican nominee and that you could come back here next January or next February with a President Gingrich?"
Rep. Nancy Pelosi: "Let me just say this. That will never happen."

King: "Why?"

Pelosi: "He's not going to be President of the United States. That's not going to happen. Let me just make my prediction and stand by it, it isn't going to happen."

King: "Why are you so sure?"

Pelosi: "There is something I know. The Republicans, if they choose to nominate him that's their prerogative. I don't even think that's going to happen."

  1. Political bluster. I'm not a Newt supporter but what do you expect a her to say," well if Newt is running it will be very difficult for our President to be reelected, basically hopeless in my opinion."

  2. So is he more unelectable than Paul?

  3. Pelosi: "There is something I know".

Hmm, Just where WAS Newt's right hand during that Global warming message???

After the 8 second mark, that is...

  4. Nancy can read the polls as well anybody - Barry would love a Newt run for his spot. Nancy's effectively saying the republicans wouldn't be that dumb, would they?

  5. I hope Pelosi is right. It would be a first for her.

  6. If she was sure, she wouldn't say it. What, she's trying to signal the opposition that she has campaign-ending dirt? Wouldn't she want to spring that on them after the election so as to win Obama a second term hands-down?

This is a threat, and this sort of threat is, by definition, empty. The advice smart people give their enemies is dependably wrong.

  7. "It sounds like she has the dirt."

Or maybe she just wants Mitt Romney, the-plastic-man to be Obama's rival?

  8. While I have no doubt there's mountain of dirt to be had on Newt, I'm curious what Pelosi would know that the GOP insiders wouldn't. And knowing it, why wouldn't they have leaked it by now?

    1. Why do you assume that the repub insiders don't know what she knows. I'm sure there is massive dirt on all these jokers (Ron Paul excepted). The difference is not who knows it, but who is willing to use it. Think Gary Hart...

  9. Now I kind of want to find out what this dirty secret is, if it's somehow even worse than everything that's already known about it.

  10. So this POS already has her bet down I see. Nice to be an insider for the NWO.

  11. If Pelosi find the information she has on Newt reprehensible, then itt has got to be nearly pure evil.

  12. I think she meant "Newt Gingrich is not going to be prescient." Just like he wasn't prescient on the housing bubble or the economic crash of '08. He has great hindsight, however; that's why he's a historian.
