  1. I don't know about you, but I think the fix is in, and has been from the start.

  2. its not the wire yet. 140,000 voters expected. But excited that RP is doing well!

  4. unreal...did anyone just see that 'glitch' on CNN? The anchor was interviewing an active duty US military guy who just said he voted for Paul. She said "dont you think it would be dangerous if Ron Paul started bringing you guys back home from your posts?" and he started to say "I think it would be more dangerous to keep fighting wars with *screen blanks* israel can defend itself *screen goes blank* iran... *screen goes blank*" back to Wolf Blitzer saying "looks like we lost that, let's go back to bla bla bla"

THis just happened! Approximately 9:53 pm, I hope someone got it on tape!

  5. If Paul 'fades' at the end THEN you know the fix is in.

  7. Just back from our caucus, RP did very well. In our ward it was Paul: 34, Romney 18, Santorum 16, Gingrich 12, Perry 4, and Bachman and Huntsman tied for last with 1 vote apiece.

  8. Really bizarre thing just happened on CNN - Active Duty Army CPL. Jesse Thorsen who has done two tours in Afghanistan and going back for a 3rd tour was being interviewed by Dana Bash who is covering the Paul headquarters. He was talking about why he likes Ron Paul and said, "Especially when it comes to bringing the soldiers home."

She asked him something about "Some Republicans out there are saying Ron Paul's foreign policy is dangerous ..." He started to say "it would be even more dangerous to start nitpicking more wars with other countries..." ...and all of a sudden CNN "lost" the feed/connection to him. ooooops. They cut him right off.

  11. the drudge polls don't reassure me because the only type of person who'd ever vote for Rick Santorum probably doesn't own a computer

  12. Paul down to 14% on Intrade. Santorum over 50%. I guess if you hang around long enough, any retread who doesn't get exposed can get the anti-Romney/establishment vote.

  13. It is illegal for active duty or reservist military personnel to attend political rallies or events in uniform. It is also unacceptable for a member of the armed forces to use their position in the military to express political opinions. This covers both the young corporal expressing his support for Ron Paul to senior leaders telling their supporters who to vote for. This corporal has disgraced his uniform and service and will likely be punished under the UCMJ. As an active duty service member I am shocked and saddened.

  14. Agree with Anonymous about Army Corporal, Jesse Thorsen, who obviously missed the briefing on active duty political activity.

  15. That soldier should be court martialed. you dont stand up and say that, as a military member, you support a certain candidate, and you sure as h**l dont do it in uniform. Hope he enjoyed voting this time because with a court martial conviction he wont get to vote again, and he wont be wearing that uniform much longer either. Probably did it because he didn't want to go back to afghan and knew this would get him out of it. cowardly piece of trash

  16. Perhaps that glitch was the universe's way so trying to save that idiot corporal's career. There are very clear rules governing wearing uniforms and one huge no no is wearing it while making a political statement or in support of a candidate. I find it appalling that Paul would the. Exploit this guy and allow him to dig his hole further...

  17. I have to agree CPL. Thorsen should be punished by the fullest extent of the UCMJ. He disgraced the uniform and the nation as a whole. Hopefully someone in the National Guard which this Corporal belongs to will actually do there job and prosecute this individual.

  18. army cpl will probably be court martialed, thrown out of the military, and spend the rest of his life wishing he had voted for someone who supported food stamps because he'll be on them. bet he just wanted to get out of his 3rd (3 in ten years? sounds like he's been dodging them for a while) afghan deployment. Also, 10 year cpl, this guy is garbage

  19. glad to see the prevailing sentiment. he screwed up, and i get the feeling there is more to the story as well. corporal with over ten years in service? not a stellar performer by any means. speaking the foreign policy bit as if he were an expert? unforgivable.

  20. Here is the military code. http://usmilitary.about.com/cs/militarylaw1/a/milpolitics.htm

Does look like trouble for the brave man. Interesting though, he went to Iraq to spread democracy.

  21. hey, just found his mug shot online. he's a felon, and looks like he did his crimes (burglary and related stuff) during the time he says he was serving. ha!

  22. Listen to yourselves. really? apparently the guy has already done two tours which I would suggest entitles him to say whatever he feels like whether thats in uniform or not, like any other citizen. God forbid that the cannon fodder have ideas of their own. anonymous indeed.

  23. The young Army personnel did not or was not listening during fundamental training...current USAF active duty with 26 years of military service.

  26. Now I understand why Rand Paul seemed to have such a somber and glum face while standing in the back round while CPL Thorsen was speaking at the podium. He probably knew the consequences of what was happening and it was too late to do anything about it.

All else aside the man has served two tours. I seriously doubt that he was trying to avoid a third.

How many tours have you done?

  27. Before punishing the young CPL, I think the military should seek to punish other higher profile traitors such as JF Kerry.

  28. Personally, I think this clown (Cpl Jesse Thorsen)would have known that speaking ones mind before cameras would get him in trouble. Of course it is easy to go down to an army surplus store and buy those items and even go to the barber shop and get a military regulation hair cut. He would have known the rules that we are to abide by while in uniform. In this case, I am calling him out.
