Lieberman: U.S. Should Consider Arming Syrian Rebels

As U.S. debt soars, another task for the global empire.

The United States should look at providing weapons and other aid to Syrian rebels if Russia and China refuse to reconsider their vetoes of a UN resolution against Damascus, Senator Joe Lieberman said Sunday.

He said the Syrian people "have shown extraordinary courage in the face of a government much stronger than they are" and "they are not going to be denied."

"The question is not whether (President Bashar Assad) will go, but when he will go. The sooner he goes, the fewer innocents will be killed," he said at security conference in Munich,Germany.

  2. The question is whether LIE-berman is sent to the gallows or he gets a lethal injection - after being tried for treason to the Republic along with Lyndsey Graham & Dick Blumenthal.

  3. Why doesn't Lieberman run for office in Israel? He clearly puts their interests in front of America's.

  4. I guess Lieberman means the US should continue supporting the armed rebels who are trying to replace Assad (as opposed to supporting the the peaceful protesters who want nothing to do with the US) but, instead of hiding it, he now wants it done it the open.

  5. I think Joe wants to re-start World War I. Remnants of the Central Powers-Ottoman empire in this corner.... Remnants of the Allied Powers in that corner....

  6. I'm thinking more and more that our current crop believes the could relive the glory of the one of the world wars, and get a shot at having their names etched into the history books, if they could just start WW3.

  7. Joe, here's your battle helmet, your kevlar and an M4 (with plenty of full magazines). Go get 'em tiger!!!

Oh yeah, that's right. Your fat, wrinkled ass will be sitting in a cozy office while others do your dirty work.

You're the epitome of all that is evil and corrupt in this world you spineless lark. You literally make me sick to my stomach.

  9. Does anyone truly believe that we aren't already arming the "rebels"? FedGov is obsessed with removing secular dictators and replacing them with a dictatorship of the Islamotariat. Lieberman is clueless if he thinks a more Israel-friendly regime will emerge upon Assad's exit.
