Why is there a problem with it? Taibbi is channeling Menken's obit of William Jennings Bryan. There's no rule requiring only praise in obituaries, or even civility. And as much as I like EPJ, c'mon, Taibbi is the most obscenely talented journalist in the country. You can't write like that. I can't write like that. Nobody can. When Taibbi dies you're gonna do jack, and like it. Cuz he's truly great, a remarkable talent.
