Tom Woods as Mitt Romney's Running Mate?

Ron Holland makes the case for Ron Paul cutting a deal with Mitt Romney and also suggests Tom Woods should be Romney's running mate if it isn't Ron or Rand Paul, details here.

  1. Tom Woods as running mate? How about this:

    President: Ron Paul
    Vice President: Tom Woods

Tom Woods is such an excellent orator. This combined with his economic and historical knowledge would make him an even greater statesmen than even Ron Paul provided he can remain as incorruptible as the good doctor.

  2. I suspect that Dr. Woods might be aghast at the idea. ;-D

Ron Holland raises quite a few excellent points. My personal view of an acceptable deal would be Rand Paul for VP, with Ron Paul promised Secretary of Treasury and Judge Napolitano as Attorney General, with maybe Dr. Woods as Secretary of State and Lew Rockwell as Secretary of Defense, and a firm pledge to dismantle "Homeland Security" immediately.

I would still have a hard time trusting Romney, since he is so clearly in the pocket of the Banksters, but with the Liberty movement controlling those key positions I'd be willing to give him a chance. Anything less, though, and I'd say no.

  3. He'd be used to safely corrall ron paul voters into election booths for Romney in November and then ignored the day after.

  4. Tom Woods is great. But he should have nothing to do with Romney. Romney, if he gets the Republican nomination, will lose to Obama. Any excuses that they (the MSM, elites, etc) can think of for this loss will be used. Tom (or Ron or Rand Paul) would make ideal scapegoats.

Similarly, if Ron Paul were to get the Republican nomination, and the economy immediately crashed--it will happen during the term of whoever is elected this November--they will be looking for scapegoats for that, too. Best that Romney/Obama get this blame!

  5. I can't imagine this happening in a million years but Mark Levin would be beside himself if Tom "Tommy Balsa Wood" Woods were Romney's VP.

  6. I am pretty certain that Tom would turn that down if the offer was on the table. From what I hear, his soul is not for sale.

  7. An anarchist willing to take control of the state?

    Now I've seen everything.

  8. If Tom can get his ideas heard and possibly even followed, I think America, if not the world, would be a better place.

  9. Romney will pick a "social conservative". Likely someone like Perry, which is basically assassination insurance.
