Crazed Climate Change Activists Want to Paint the Sky White

One idea for fighting global warming is to increase the amount of aerosols in the atmosphere, scattering incoming solar energy away from the Earth’s surface; scientists, however, theorize that this solar geoengineering could have a side effect of whitening the sky during the day, reports the Homeland Security Newswire.

More from HSN:
Using advanced models, Kravitz and Caldeira — along with Douglas MacMartin from the California Institute of Technology — examined changes to sky color and brightness from using sulfate-based aerosols in this way. They found that, depending on the size of the particles, the sky would whiten during the day and sunsets would have afterglows...

Their models predict that the sky would still be blue, but it would be a lighter shade than what most people are used to looking at now.

  1. "Their models predict..."? The same models that predeicted 36" rises in sea level by 2010 and a hockey stick increase in global temperature?

Also, isn't this what the chemtrail conspiracy is all about?

    1. um ... no

"With sea-level rise, however, the researchers found that the range of 2001 predictions were lower than the actual rise. Satellite data shows that levels rose by an average of 3.3 millimetres per year between 1993 and 2006. The 2001 IPCC report, in contrast, projected a best-estimate rise of less than 2 mm per year."

    2. What's the margin of error on satellite data measurements? It would seem it would have to be something very low and I'm not sure I have extreme confidence in it when we're talking about millimeters.

  2. The State is insanity. Can you imagine them pumping this shit into the atmosphere until they blast us into another ice age? Especially since there is no warming and we might be heading into an ice age anyway.

Fortunately the whole system will collapse before they have a chance to do this.

  3. "Using advanced models", yep, those work as well in chaotic climate systems as they do in economics :)

  4. I always find it funny that these people complain about "human-caused global warming" and their solution is human-caused global cooling. Do they not take into consideration that they will fuck up? Also, doesn't it seem just a bit hypocritical that they are complaining about human's effects upon the climate, only to suggest that humans alter the climate as a solution? It is quite clear that whatever temp goals that these freaks have are entirely arbitrary.

  5. They have been 'painting' the skies since the late '90s.

I have not searched for any analysis, but my gut sense is that the cooler temps that have ensued in these last 10 years have slowed evaporation from the Gulf of Mexico and contributed to Texas' drought over these past 10 years.

There is lots of particulate in the air now. Just gargle a few times with grape juice or red wine, and look at what you spit up: lots of fibers and masses of fibers from the chemtrail dumps.

Monstrous idiots, these Cal Tech bozos.

  6. "sulfate-based" ... mmm... remember the acid rains?

  7. Uhmm... ok... if they continue like then soon we will have a _real_ global climate disaster on our hands.

  8. We have the Indy Grand Prix and the Yankees in town here in Motown and we're freezing our asses off in the cold cold rain. Can Cal Tech cure that? We need the Grand Prix to cure our economic ills like the All Star Game and Super Bowl did. Wait. They didn't. But it's still cold and rainy.

  9. If they want sulphate in the air, just remove all the air-pollution control devices forced onto cars and power plants. Back then the fear of man-made ice age was in vogue.

Who gives a fuck? Leave the fucking sky alone you hypocrites.

    1. Seriously, does ANYONE really think their models are worth a tin shit?

  11. Yup, for anyone who wants to know more there's plenty of official .gov links in this article indicating the program has been up and running for quite some time now:

Very few People want to know though, might as well be saying the word housing bubble in 2002.
