Gary Johnson Qualifies for Matching Funds

Libertarian Party Presidential nominee and former New Mexico Governor Gary Johnson’s campaign has qualified for matching funds from the federal Presidential Election Campaign Fund. Johnson’s eligibility was announced by the Federal Election Commission on Thursday.

Find out just how libertarian Gary Johnson is by listening to my interview of him. It will be posted here at EPJ by 7:00 AM Sunday. Guaranteed, it will change your view of him.

  1. And why would a libertarian accept matching funds?

This ought to be an interesting interview.

    1. For the same reason that one fills out income tax forms and sends them in even though they are philosophically opposed. That's the system we have.

Gary Johnson is not a perfect candidate. Neither is Barack Obama or Mitt Romney for that matter. But Gary Johnson is closer to Libertarian purity by far than Mitt or Barack.

Your choices are Mitt, Barack or Gary. Who will you choose?

    2. Not knowing the difference between voluntary and involuntary is sad. Matching funds are voluntary whereas filing taxes are not because there are penalties including prison time. Is someone holding a gun to him to accept matching (stolen) funds?

I choose Ron Paul whose campaign pays for his security rather than accept SS welfare.

  3. Is he about to be revealed as a out-of-the-closet statist?

  4. I could never vote for someone who favors the legal killing of unborn babies. That is not libertarian.
