Romney Holding Weekend Powerfest

The power players that really count in the government grabfest will be meeting in Utah this weekend. You are not invited.

The invitation for the “Romney Victory Founding Members Retreat” says the event will take place at the Chateaux in Park City, Utah from Friday to Sunday. The retreat is for Romney’s top campaign donors — those who gave $50,000 as individuals or $150,000 as couples to the Romney campaign.

Also at the plotters convention will be former Secretary of State James Baker, Arizona Sen. John McCain, Alabama Rep. Spencer Bachus, former Minnesota Sen. Norm Coleman, Tennessee Sen. Bob Corker and former Utah Gov. Michael Leavitt, along with a “media panel,” which will be moderated by lawyer Ben Ginsberg and will include the Weekly Standard’s Fred Barnes and Bill Kristol, as well as Republican operatives Mary Matalin and Karl Rove, reports the Daily Caller.

Special guests, according to the invitation, include Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty, Ohio Sen. Rob Portman, former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan and South Dakota Sen. John Thune. All have been mentioned as possible running mates.

  1. What a monstrously evil collection of trash. As far as I am concerned, Thune (who seems to represent Israel and Monsanto far more than he does South Dakota) is a total embarrassment to our home state. It's hard to believe I used to watch him play basketball in high school - against my friends and classmates -, when he was still (theoretically) a relatively uncorrupted human being. I could never have imagined at that time (1978-1979) that I was in such close proximity to someone who would grow up and willingly support and promote pure evil with such unapologetic abandon.

P.S. At least our team beat his every time during his senior year, when he was the star.

  3. I thought campaign contributions were limited to 2k per person.
The elite must live under different laws than the rest of us.

  5. Romney will be just as bad or worse than Obama. I couldn't care less about this cabal of boobs. The only thing that might persuade me to vote for Romney is if he made Ron Paul the secretary of treasury. Keyword being "might".
