Murdoch: Obama About Government Power

Rupert Murdoch tweeted on Thursday:
Yesterday Obama went off script, showed real self ie government omnipotent, individuals secondary. Must be big damage.

  1. I'm not surprised. The veil drops every now and again; pretending to be one thing while clearly being something else must be exhausting.

  2. Hard to read Murdoch.

Definitely a warmonger and not a libertarian, but in many of these tweets where we see him speak with full frankness, he tends to display at least some understanding of freedom, and definitely has no problem seeing through the memes (to borrow a term from the Daily Bell) that the elite perpetuate.
It wouldn't surprise me if Murdoch is fully baptised in the Church of Rand, war mongering & strongly pro-IP but probably has no problem supporting freedom to the extent it suits him.

Murdoch would be a perfect subject of 'power elite analysis'.

  3. Murdoch isn't against omnipotent government. Just as long as one of his preferred people are in charge.

He's shedding crocodile tears because Obama has a D after his name.

    1. I don't disagree with your first statement but I don't follow your second. So what if Obama has a D after his name and Murdoch is part of the R oligarch, that does not invalidate what Murdoch said. Nor does the fact that Murdoch himself is a scumbag.

  4. We've gone so low, our next president might as well be a spokesperson for NAMBLA (North American Man/Boy Love Association). We're taking business rhetoric from an idiot who has never owned a business, but instead devoted his energies toward forming mobs to bully society into giving up more money and autonomy. A JD from Harvard is apparently good only for ripping people off under a veneer of competence and official standing.
