A 10-year-old girl was critically wounded and a man also was shot late Tuesday as they played at an open hydrant in the West Side’s Austin neighborhood. The pair was among at least 16 people shot in the city Tuesday evening.

Four people were shot Tuesday evening in the Southwest Side Marquette Park neighborhood.

  1. Don't you just love gun control heaven. Why anyone would want to live in Chicago is beyond me. Crappy weather, large pockets of urban poverty and high crime, obnoxious police, corrupt politicians. The place is a mess.

    The comedian Richard Jeni had a great line about Rhamaland, “I think that's how Chicago got started. A bunch of people in New York said, 'Gee, I'm enjoying the crime and the poverty, but it just isn't cold enough, let's go west.'”
