Despicable: A Final Government GoodBye to Ron and Carol Paul

Lew Rockwell writes:
Ron, Carol, and one of their granddaughters left the GOP snake pit yesterday afternoon, but the State was not yet through with them. At the little airport in Clearwater, 8 TSA agents descended on them and ordered them not to board their private plane. First, the pilots, the airplane, and the passengers would have to be screened in great detail, because Romney might be nearby. After a long examination of the pilots and their credentials, the agents said they had to check the plane for explosives. One of the pilots noted that the plane, full of gas, was already a bomb. Then Carol Paul, who has a pacemaker, refused to be screened, and an aide started taking video of the whole rotten process. At that point, the TSA backed down and let them through, to Texas and freedom.

  2. This begs the question - Did TSA do this because it was Ron Paul or was it just more of the mundane thuggery practiced by TSA goons on a daily basis? Either way this is an outrage. Ron Paul is too good for this red, white and blue gulag.

    1. Since the Pauls were boarding a private plane, it was VERY likely because it was Ron Paul.

  3. I am waiting for Michelle Obama and the Obama's two daughters to be subjected to the same sort of "security" measures that the rest of us are. And if they are not, why not?

  4. I was not aware that General Aviation (private planes) were subject to TSA authority.

  5. I hate this treatment of people more than words can say. If it continues like this, I wouldn't be surprised if everyone is eventually strip-searched as a routine practice. EVERYONE, ALWAYS.

Anyone who says that couldn't happen, wouldn't have believed the TSA could have the power it currently exercises over us. I have come into contact with military contractors who work at Picatinny Arsenal in NJ. (This is the facility that provides most of the weapons soldiers use in the Middle East). One of them openly said that "9/11 has changed everything" ---with a smile that made my stomach turn. 9/11 has been the zenith event for their bread-and-butter. They are far more enriched at our financial expense, and our existence as human beings. I was working at a hotel when this occurred, and believe me, I was tempted to spit in his face. I certainly wanted to challenge his position, but felt it was not the place to do so. My brother had gotten me the job, and I didn't want it to reflect on him. But I am extremely angry at people like this, and I am increasingly less concerned for my own well-being in challenging these evil control freaks. My major concern is achieving real results, which I know will not happen through combative arguments (or a terrible action like spitting on someone). Millions withdrawing from the system is our best "plan" of action.

  6. So even if you have a private plane, or are renting one, you still have to deal with the damn TSA? What a crock..
