Judge Orders Release of Brandon Raub

Developing...

UPDATE (Via AP)

A judge has ordered the release of Brandon Raub who was detained for psychiatric evaluation after posting  anti-government messages on Facebook.

Prince George County Circuit Judge W. Allan Sharrett said at the end of a one-hour hearing that the involuntary commitment order issued by a magistrate against Raub was invalid because it contained no allegation or basis to hold him, according to the head of a civil liberties organization that represented the 26-year-old veteran.

  1. Ordering his release and him being released are two different things... And what about punishing the thugs who kidnapped him??

    2. I can't imagine being ANY person involved with this incident who can face themselves in their mirrors without lying (sans the sociopaths, of which we have millions, evidently).

  2. And, all Sharrett is really doing is pointing out that next time, include an allegation or cause and the order won't be invalidated.

  7. In a just world, he would be compensated for the loss of his time and the emotional distress endured... out of the salaries of his kidnappers, who would also be required to issue a public apology.
