The blurb for the book says:
Based on 18 months of reporting, Woodward's 17th book The Price of Politics is an intimate, documented examination of how President Obama and the highest profile Republican and Democratic leaders in the United States Congress attempted to restore the American economy and improve the federal government’s fiscal condition over three and one half years. Drawn from memos, contemporaneous meeting notes, emails and in-depth interviews with the central players, The Price of Politics addresses the key issue of the presidential and congressional campaigns: the condition of the American economy and how and why we got there. Providing verbatim, day-by-day, even hour-by-hour accounts, the book shows what really happened, what drove the debates, negotiations and struggles that define, and will continue to define, the American future.Get your popcorn, since no one in Congress but Ron Paul understands economics, this should be a real thigh slapper, especially when you mix in the Corporate-Marxist Obama.
This has to be a joke. The economy is terrible. What have our wonderful overlords done right?
ReplyDeleteUnemployment remains at record highs, the deficit and debt are exploding to Greece like levels, Bernanke has interest rates at zero for several years not and the economy still can't grow much beyond 1%.
And Bob Woodward thinks people want to read about the "great work" the politicians have doing these last few years? This is just an attempt by Woodward to brainwash people against the dangerous idea that the political establishment of both major political parties are idiots and bloodsuckers.
