Remember Tampa!

Never forget what establishment politics is about.

Never forget what establishment Republican politics is about.

  1. I suggest everyone check out Bretigne Shaffer's, The Revolution is Over -- Long Live the Revolution! (via ICYMI).

  2. Reminds me of the statist propaganda for war: "Remember the Maine". (And ironically Maine makes an notable appearance this time around too at least in the advance of liberty)

Not that you need advice Wenzel, but drop this little nugget around next time there's debate over the value of political process.

  3. I've thought about getting involved with the "freedom movement", but other than waiting for an economic and/or government collapse, I really don't see what can be done at this point. Most people see politics as the struggle to seize control of the levers of power so as to be able to control other citizen's lives; and they don't have a problem with that. They just want to make sure that people are in charge who represent their beliefs. It's depressing as hell and liberty-minded people are at a big disadvantage in politics.

I recently heard an interview with Lew Rockwell in which he was saying that the two political parties are now just agencies of the state, and freedom loving people aren't likely to take over the Republican (or Democratic) party any more than than they could take over the Dept. of Justice. I'm afraid this is the correct view.

  4. Romney is toast because ---- (fill in the blanks). My suggestion: because the Republicans nominated the quintessential wealthy finance guy to rail against the status quo and that rings like a thud.

  5. "Go ahead make my day", and get fucked in Tampa. The mask is off, and if you cannot see that manipulation has brought, watch the link.

  6. I will never forget. I am more motivated than ever. Never will those hacks get my vote. I will write in Ron Paul and any future Liberty candidates in the future.

  7. Don't you think that every leftist, progressive, socialist, communist and stateist is disappointed with the lack of purity of their politicians? They could splinter off and severely criticize FDR, LBJ, JFK, Carter, Clinton - but they seem to welcome any political ratchet towards their position, abating their desire for perfection.

The left has been more successful then the libertarians in directing this country. Perhaps the nation agrees in most with them or perhaps they have better tactics.
