Titans of Liberty Speak at P.A.U.L. Fest

By, Chris Rossini

Walter Block gave virtually the same speech the day before, but got a much different reaction. Take a look

  1. P.A.U.L. stands for People Awakening and Uniting for Liberty.
Though Tom Woods' speech was brilliant, I was particularly moved by his introduction of Lew Rockwell when he said, ". . . but who supported me, who stood by me? Lew Rockwell. He is truly a hero and a benefactor of the human race, and it is one of the great privileges of my life to call him a good friend." Anybody who has read any blog comment, article, or book or received an invitation from LVM or from LRC in the mail or email, one feels that Lew Rockwell is a good friend, and he is. I don't know how many blog comments I've read at LRC that were in fact thank-you letters for saving the souls and minds of those under the influence of neocons, conservatives, Romneys of the world, and mass-murdering foreign policies. Lew et al have restored decency. As vets and others write into Lew and thank him for his work, Lew pays ongoing tribute to Mises, Rothbard, Nock, and others of the old right tradition, if one requires a categorization at all. "We don't beg for scraps from that table. We don't seek a seat at that table. We want to knock the table over." It's precisely for the de-bamboozling that I read Wenzel daily. Thank you, sir.

  2. Peter Schiff reads an email from Jesse Benton calling PAUL Fest "bad news," "fringe element" and "hoping it all goes away:"
