'Atlas Shrugged: Part II' Screened at Cato

What a surprise another Ayn Rand linked event at Cato.

A friend emails to report:

An invitation-only advance screening of the film Altas Shrugged: Part II--Everything Has A Breaking Point took place last night on the big screen in Cato’s F. A. Hayek Auditorium.
Part II opens with the global economy on the brink of collapse. Dagny Taggart discovers what might be the answer to a mounting energy crisis. She races against the clock to prevent the motor of the world from being stopped for good. But where is the revolutionary motor? And who is John Galt?
This Atlas Shrugged has a new cast with stars Samantha Mathis (Broken Arrow) as Dagny Taggart, Jason Beghe (Californication) as Hank Rearden, D.B. Sweeney (Gardens of Stone) as John Galt, and Esai Morales (La Bamba) as Francisco D'Anconia.

The friend concludes:
Atlas Shrugged Part II was much more exhilarating than Part I.  It was definitely worth watching.  The film plot this time, while sticking closely to the main theme of the book, added current day events and people to the script. They did a good job at communicating Rand's philosophy of Objectivism.  The only flaw was Dagny Taggart was played by a blonde!
