This of course, applies directly to Norman Dodd's claim that the beneficiaries of collectivist state planning aim to direct the economy toward massive "administrable units," whereby the choices of millions of people are inconsequential. I find it so ironic that these planners aimed to merge "characteristic American efficiency" with state planning, as if that were possible and reconcilable.
