As part of my comments monitor, blogger will occasionally throw a comment, every two weeks or so, into a spam comments section. I get no alert when a comment is sent there and because of the infrequency of comments put there, sometimes I fail to check it on a regular basis.
I just checked it, for the first time in a week. There were near 50 comments there, and many from regulars. So my apologies to the many of you, who didn't get their comments cleared over the last week. It's likely because blogger sent them to spam. They are cleared now.
I wish you'd update your comment approval more often. I realize you're busy, but when sending one of your hot articles to people, and they come to the blog for the first time and see there's been no comments (sometime two hours later) they're apt to disregard the blog as not being well read.
ReplyDeleteOff subject here, but is there any way to get the RSS feed at Blogger to show more than about the first four lines of a post? I want to read the entire post in Google Reader rather than click to open a new window. I can do this with LRC and Gary North's Tea Party Economist, but I guess they don't use Blogger.

DeleteThe business reason backfires when people like me read less due to not getting it all in the RSS feed. And surely some unsubscribe due to it.
DeleteRunning a website of any kind is a tough business, the more so when all comments must be moderated. And trust me, that's not a trivial exercise you have to know the difference between reasonable range of response and outright trolling, which can be a fine line. I think you do a fine job. The rest of us can be patient :-)
