EXCLUSIVE: Possible Mass Evacuation of Bellevue Hospital

Oh yeah, Bellevue Hospital is ready for a major emergency.

They have run out of oxygen tanks and only have left one hour of power capability with their emergency generator.

The NYFD is looking for portable generators to bring over to the hospital. If the generators aren't delivered ASAP, the hospital will have to start a mass evacuation.

Update: On site fire commander, "We are at a critical stage." Bellevue Hospital is running out of fuel for its generators, which are located (duh) on the 13th floor. FDNY is requesting fuel in 5 gallon cans and National Guard to carry them up to the 13th floor. Generator(s) use between 20 and 30 gallons of fuel per hour.

Update 2: A second "critical request" for "large oxygen bottles" to Bellevue.

Update 3: Bellevue situation has been stabilized. Conversations have gone off FDNY radio and are being conducted by phone, which makes it unclear how situation was resolved.
