The most ferocious presidential debate ever?

I just got around to reading Karl Rove's take on Tuesday's Presidential debate.

He says:
"Americans on Tuesday night watched what was the most ferocious presidential debate ever. Barack Obama and Mitt Romney circled and interrupted each other, jabbed fingers, got into each other's space, and exchanged verbal body blows for 90 minutes at Hofstra University in Hempstead, N.Y."
What an eloquent way to fire up the citizens who will 'make their voices heard' next month.

The truth is, this "ferocious" battle...

...is about as authentic and believable as this one:

Both are entertainment.

Karl Rove is merely playing the part of Mean Gene Okerlund with his ridiculous review.

When Romney and Obama argue about who will cure every problem by growing the government, that's not a debate...That's a tragedy.

  1. It is in the interest of both parties to magnify their minor differences as the battle of the ages; that's part of the theatre.
