Newt Gingrich on the 'Profound' Obama

The Tampa Bay Times reports on a Newt visit:
In town to sign copies of his new book, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich took questions about President Obama's re-election. He praised the President for his 'profound' understanding of the status of our country and the American people.
This can only mean that Gingrich understands that Obama knows most people can be duped about the status of the country, right?

    1. "Worthless politician."

Isn't that kind of like employing a double negative?

  2. I predict that Gingrich will soon have a paid position for the Obama administration. It will be a new position for which they have yet to invent a name. The position will be so 'profound', that the uninitiated (i.e. nonguv types) won't know what it is, but only Gingrich will be able to do it.

    1. I'll suggest one for respectable company, "toady' and one for more dissolute half way through whiskey bottle crowd 'arselicker'. Others are welcome

  3. So this is the loyal opposition.
What is it that Tom Woods cites? A wide spectrum of opinion about 3/8 of an inch wide? Something like that. Sorry, Tom.

  4. Gingrich uses "profound" as much as valley girls use the word "like." It becomes nothing more than filler.

There is nothing profound about spending trillions we don't have on stuff we can't afford. The naked vote-buying schemes will usher in a period of - dare I say it - profound re-alignment.

It will be an extremely uncomfortable adjustment for tens of millions that have been conditioned into believing that there is a free lunch. "Free" works until it doesn't. Then the crap hits the fan, the checks bounce, and people are left to fend for themselves.

It isn't going to be pretty, but it will certainly by interesting.

  7. It is amazing how many idiots here A) Disdain the man who brought more fiscal restraint to the Federal Govt than ANY OTHER politician since Coolidge, and B) didn't read the article to understand what he was speaking of.

You all are reactionary imbeciles no better than the MoveOn org that believes everything that is written...

    1. What fucking nonsense. I'm not even sure if you're genuflecting to Obama or Gingrich, but to believe either did anything other than benefit from the criminal government apparatus is total lunacy. Fiscal restraint, LOfuckingL.

Some people just cannot divest themselves from the bullshit left-right political dogma.
