Roger Stone Pondering a Campaign to Run for Florida Governor on Libertarian Ticket

Roger Stone says he will decide by the end of the year whether he will run for governor of Florida on the Libertarian Party ticket in 2014. Let's hope not.

The Daily Caller reports that Stone would make marijuana a big focus of his campaign---which means he is going to distort the libertarian message.

If Stone came out in favor of heroin and LSD legalization, then I would be more impressed, since that is more of a message about individual liberty than just a legalize marijuana campaign platform.

  1. I once had a college professor say that libertarians just want to legalize marijuana. Well you can't blame him nor anyone else for saying such a thing. Only Ron Paul had the guts to promote full libertarianism and he ran as a republican! Libertarian Party candidates are weak and are a waste of money and time.

  2. If I run I will run on a broader "small government" platform with an emphasis on spending, taxes, the erosion of our civil liberties as well as economic and personal freedom.
