Some fighter for smaller government.
House Speaker John Boehner said today that he hopes the Senate takes up a House bill to fund the federal government through the remaining six months of the fiscal year and passes it “expeditiously,” avoiding the prospect of a partial shutdown of the government.
Speaking at a weekly press conference, the speaker said that he hoped the Senate would move quickly to pass the legislation. The House is expected to vote and easily approve the bill either Wednesday or Thursday, according to WSJ.
