Odd Change in FOMC Minutes Release

The Fed is about to release FOMC minutes at 9 a.m. EDT; previously scheduled for 2 p.m. EDT.

UPDATE

Fed releasing minutes early because of inadvertent early release to congressional staffers.

UPDATE 2

The minutes were released early Wednesday because they were inadvertently sent a day early to Congress and some trade groups, the Fed said, according to WSJ. "The individuals on the distribution list—primarily congressional employees and employees of trade organizations—received the minutes shortly after 2 pm Tuesday."

The BOG question here is why is there a separate list for employees of trade organizations?
