What worked for me is deleting my Google browser profile that comes with Windows 8 and created a new profile. This solution works to solve the crashing problem, but be aware that it did result in my losing all my tabbed bookmarks. So make sure you save your bookmarks, before you take these steps.
Here are the steps you need to take.
Make sure your Google browser is closed.
In the internet explorer browser(download it if you don't have it) enter this code in the top address box:
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Google\Chrome\User Data\
Hit enter. It will take you to a page of files. Delete the "Profile" file, Possibly "Profile 1" or something else if you gave your profile a different name.
Then open your Goggle browser and a new Profile will be created for you. And hopefully your Google Chrome crash problems are gone.
Good luck!

This is what google says. Apparently you CAN save parts of your profile if you want to try.

ReplyDeleteI have OS X and google is crashing. I suspect the NSA.
ReplyDeleteGoogle appears to be downgrading every facet of their service that I use. This is being done in the name of upgrading, but that is naught but doublespeak.
