Sen. Marco Rubio affirmed his support Sunday for GOP Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, who is facing a tea party primary challenge in his home state of Kentucky.
Appearing on Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace, Florida's Republican senator said, "I think [McConnell] is trying to lead our conference. It's a diverse conference with a lot of different opinions, and that's a tough job to begin with, and then of course he's got to represent his own state."
It is not clear if Rubio views this as a so-called crony-opportunist "hold your nose" strategy, the way Rand Paul and Jesse Benton do.
Shocking that run of the mill republican Pubio supports McConnell. Pubio needs to be voted out and get a real job.
ReplyDeleteRemember that this too (Rubio) was a Tea Party "hero".
ReplyDeleteBut hey, don't tell the small government believers that. There really are politicians you can trust to shrink the state.
