Mitch McConnell to Face $300k Ad Barrage

Politico reports:

The Democratic-leaning group Patriot Majority is going on air for the next week with a major TV ad buy in Kentucky, where Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R) is getting squeezed from both the left and the right in his reelection battle, two media tracking sources told POLITICO.

The $300,000 buy runs from Oct. 30 through Nov. 5, in every market in the state, the sources said.

The buy is very large for this point in the election cycle and comes as McConnell has been getting hit over the government shutdown by his Democratic opponent Alison Lundergan Grimes, and by his GOP primary challenger, Matt Bevin.
