Krugman: We Need More Price Inflation

I don't know what to call this other than crackpot economics. Paul Krugman writes:

First, with all the talk of negative natural rates of interest, secular stagnation, and so on, there is a strong case for setting inflation targets at least somewhat higher than they were in the past. All sorts of people have, in fact, called for higher inflation.[...]So Janet Yellen should keep her petal peddle pedal to the medal mettle metal for a long time.
This guy really thinks you can boost any economy by printing more paper money. As it's all because he misunderstands the operations of a baby sitting co-op.

  1. This nutcase is a crackpot on steroids. Bozo the clown couldn't do any worse as an economist.

  2. Just the old playbook. Deny, Deny, Deny, Deny, Admit it's there but it's good for you!

  3. If you believe printing money creates inflation, then you believe that printing money boosts an economy.

  4. If you believe printing money boosts an economy, then you believe monetary inflation creates prosperity.
