Matt Damon Earns $3M for 20-Second Ad

For a lefty proponent of equality for the world, Damon is certainly not afraid to earn a bit more than the masses. (Damon supports the ONE Campaign, which is aimed at fighting AIDS and poverty in Third World countries and he told a Hollywood reporter: "The wealthy are paying less than they paid at any time else, certainly in my lifetime, and probably in the last century. I don't know what we were paying in the Roaring '20s; it's criminal that so little is asked of people who are getting so much.")

NyPo reports:
Hollywood heavyweight Matt Damon earned a healthy $3 million for appearing in a Nespresso ad for just 20 seconds with George Clooney, Page Six has exclusively learned.
Damon raked in an impressive $150,000 per second he appears in the ad, which was produced for the UK market and directed by Grant Heslov, a producer and co-writer on his upcoming film “The Monuments Men.”

A source close to Damon’s fruitful coffee deal exclusively told us: “Matt is one of the few Hollywood stars to have turned down most ad and product-endorsement deals. But this one came with a huge fee and the fact that he’d be working with people he trusts, his ‘Monuments Men’ producer Grant Heslov and co-star George Clooney.”[...]

The ad focuses on Clooney’s famous charm and irresistibility, showing him being snubbed by an attractive woman who would rather drink her coffee alone. “George Clooney’s inside,” she yells, causing a mob of women to chase after the actor and leave her in peace.

Then, in a shorter complement to the ad, Clooney uses the same ploy to enjoy his own coffee, drawing the frantic females’ attention to the presence of his old friend Damon.

There is no indication how much of the $3 million Damon plans to share with the rest of us.

  1. The richest hypocrisy committed by this closeted commie was when he sent his kids to a private school, years after carping about the importance of public schools.

In most actors fairy tale existence they take the hubris of their personal success and assume they now know what's best for everyone else. Of course, like many fairy tales, reality need not apply....until one day they are confronted with it and realize they can't sacrifice their kids on the altar of their fairy tale notions.

Of course, they being special people, it's "ok". The rest of us drones should just do what we are told.

  2. Why not give it to the la public schools that he avoids bc they aren't progressive enough? Or is the real reason he doesn't want his kid around a bunch of gangbanger Mexicans, with a horrible education to go with it?
