FBI in Possession of Ron Paul Inc Related Meth House Documents

Back in November, I reported on some documents found in a Colorado meth house that have links to Ron Paul Inc: Dark Money, 'Ron Paul Inc,' Meth House Documents and a Grand Jury Hearing.

Investigative reporter Lee Stranahan is now reporting that some of these documents are in posession of the FBI:

Couple this with the raid in Iowa on the house of Kent Sorenson, who is alleged to have been paid off by Ron Paul Inc. operatives, and you can get a sense for where this is leading---and it won't be pretty for Ron Paul Inc.

The fact that the FBI appears to have interest in Sorenson AND the meth house documents points to a inquiry of Ron Paul Inc. That key Ron Paul Inc operatives work for Mitch McConnell, for sure, hasn't gone unnoticed by the highly politicized DOJ and FBI.

The key questions now are these:

Will we see perp walks of Ron Paul Inc/Team McConnell players when the primaries are over in Kentucky and the McConnell-Grimes general election is on?

Is this going to be a major attack on Ron Paul Inc and also the tea party?

Does House Speaker Boehner feel comfortable going after the tea party because he knows what is coming down?

  1. Good grief, it's like a text book smear job. The details hardly matter, for most people who learn of the case will remember the short phrases: dark money...campaign contributions...Citizens United...conservative candidates...meth house...Ron Paul Inc...campaign contributions...dark money. And so on the buzz terms go.

But there are good lessons to be learned anew: Don't get involved in electoral politics. Don't pin any hopes on a heroic candidate. Don't even vote, but instead withdraw consent.

    meth house...libertarian...dark money...

  2. Is Ron Paul involved in any of this or is calling himRon Paul Inc just a convenient way of trying to implicate him without worrying about whether he is really involved?

    1. So far, it seems that it is mostly the latter.

The real story seems to be that some operatives involved in the National Right to Work Committee have been violating election laws in various ways and that some of these same operatives have then gone on to find jobs in other political organizations. The story is being misreported to imply (1) that anyone who hires such an operatives is without doubt guilty of violating election laws, (2) since some of those operatives were hired by people or organizations promoting a liberty message, most, perhaps all people promoting a liberty message are also scum. and (3) that we should all therefore just run and hide under our beds, since there is no way to deal with the scum without become scum ourselves.

Obviously, what is being implied is full of non sequitur. The most interesting parts of the story are suspiciously not being reported on. Who is Dennis Fusaro? Where does he fit into the "staffergate" chart? Why is he going around secretly recording people? Is someone running him? Was he involved in violations of election law?

A classic establishment technique for neutralizing a budding opposition movement is to place operatives into the opposition movement's organizations and have them commit illegal acts while at the same time placing other operatives into positions that allow them to "discover" the illegal acts. The hype to detail ratio of the story together with the silence with regard to the role of Dennis Fusaro cause me to wonder if that is what is happening here.
