10 Minute Sundance Movie Gaining Libertarian Fans

Chris Vognar writes for the Dallas Morning News:
Dallas’ Toby Halbrooks just got from the Sundance Film Festival, where he showed his new short film “Dig.” What’s it about? a guy (Dallas’ Jonny Mars) digs a hole in his backyard. He draws attention. Kids watch him. A permit is demanded. He doesn’t have one. The police arrive. And that’s about it.
The film gained an immediate following, with one fan base is particular: The Ron Paul Website dailypaul.com has adopted it as a sort of libertarian manifesto. So there’s that.

  2. It's obviously not very realistic. In the USA a swat team would have burst through the door, killed the wife and girl (who have the look of drugged out wackos who deserve to die at the holy hands of our beloved peace officers. Then as the husband stands in the hole, they would have tazed him and best him into a coma and left him to die while they go kill the family dog.

The whole time Jerry Wolfgang would be saying, "I told you so. I told you you needed a permit. You got what you deserved."

    Land of the free indeed!

    1. LOL... did Jerry play trhe part of the neighbor? He'd be perfect for the part. I bet he'd pee in his pants in joy if the cops tazed the whole family.

Too true to life in the USSA today, unfortunately.
