Advice to the Fed From a Cafeteria Owner

Douglas Delgado-Landaeta emails:
I went this morning to get some breakfast at the cafeteria at my work and I noticed that the prices went up by almost $2 on the lunch menues and $1 on breakfast menues. I asked the owner/manager, "why are you rasining prices?" He replied, "tell the Fed to stop the money printing if you don't wanna see price inflation."

  1. A local joint around the corner from my business used to have a lunch special that included a 10oz filet & veggies for $8.99 in 2012.

Last year they went to a 6oz filet with veggies for $9.99.

They just closed the doors a couple of weeks ago.

  2. "why are you rasining prices?" He replied, "Do you have any idea how expensive it is to get all those little wrinkles lined up right on a rasin?"
